I’m an abstract artist based in Houston, Texas, known for my vibrant mixed media paintings inspired by nature. Working with acrylic, ink and pencil on wood and paper, my layered painting style captures the beauty of organic forms and shifting landscapes found in nature, expressed through color and movement. My paintings engage in a conversation to tell stories about our connection to nature and the feelings and memories they evoke. I’ve exhibited my work throughout Houston’s Sawyer Yards creative community, in the Round Top Spring and Fall Shows and West Elm.
After years in a high-pressure marketing agency career, I took a leap of faith and returned to painting—a decision that has changed my life. After studying under award-winning abstract artist and educator Salli Babbitt, I rediscovered my passion for art and found abstract painting. In addition to being an abstract painter, I’m a wife, mom of two and public relations freelancer. I’ve always been a creative person—as both a writer or artist—and I love to do both. Today, my art is a reflection of that journey: it is personal, full of energy, and designed to evoke the natural, serene landscapes I grew up admiring in Houston, along the Gulf Coast and in my travels.
